How do you keep up-to-date? That\u2019s easy \u2013 do as I do, follow the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/tistre\/lists\/digital-asset-management\">more than 600 DAM related Twitter accounts<\/a> and about 100 RSS feeds, and I promise you won\u2019t miss out on anything important! (I\u2019m suffering from \u201cFOMO\u201d, I guess: \u201cfear of missing out\u201d.)<\/p>\n<p>If this seems like too much work, check out my <a href=\"http:\/\/planetdam.org\/\">Planet DAM<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p>This is the place where I link all new DAM-related articles I come across when scanning Twitter and RSS feeds. A manually curated \u201criver of news\u201d for DAM writing which you can follow <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PlanetDAM\">on Twitter via @PlanetDAM<\/a>. If you\u2019re using a feed reader (highly recommended), you can even subscribe to the <a href=\"http:\/\/planetdam.org\/feed\">Planet DAM RSS feed<\/a> (well, Atom feed) and get all the latest stuff without having to visit the Planet DAM Web site.<\/p>\n<p>If you know of an article that should be on Planet DAM but isn\u2019t yet, please send me its URL via <a href=\"mailto:tim@strehle.de\">e-mail<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/tistre\">Twitter<\/a>. Why am I doing this?<\/p>\n<p>First, it\u2019s a great way to keep learning about DAM, and to keep in touch with the DAM community.<\/p>\n<p>Also, working on the tech side of DAM most of the time, Planet DAM is the sandbox helping me brush up my rusty librarian skills \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>More importantly, my vision for the DAM community on the Web is that we\u2019re getting better at reading, listening, learning from each other \u2013 as opposed to being \u201ccontent marketers\u201d shouting at their (imaginary?) audience. Ideally, authors would do research on Planet DAM before writing about a topic.
