It can be used as a digital asset management tool as well as an image\/metadata publishing platform.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Take a look at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imagesnippets.com\/ArtSpeak\/help\/help1.html\">help pages<\/a>, and read Margaret Warren\u2019s post introducing ImageSnippets to the iptc-photometadata Yahoo! Group \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/tech.groups.yahoo.com\/group\/iptc-photometadata\/message\/213\">a new system which can help with protecting images from becoming orphans<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cImageSnippets is a bit of a swiss-army knife prototype at the moment with many new types of terms and features not typically found in current metadata editing environments.<\/p>\n<p>[\u2026] The system creates an HTML+RDFa file containing a link to the image AND all of it&#8217;s metadata is represented as structured data in the file.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I like that it combines public, application-level and personal datasets. That you can reference an image by its URL, i.e. you don\u2019t have to upload it and can still add metadata for it.
